About the Job
- Monitor and control the Infrastructure operations to ensure that the global systems are operating in the most technically efficient manner based on existing and new technologies available to the Company.
- Document and/or ensure that documentation is in place for implementation and operation of all IT systems.
- Supports, tests and troubleshoots the company’s network, server and general IT systems infrastructure, including but not limited to:
- Management of networking infrastructure (switches, routers, firewalls, etc.)
- System and data backup, monitoring and troubleshooting
- Provides first and senior-level support for internal customer issues, i.e. website access issues, data retrieval issues, etc.
- Design Functional Networks LAN, WAN and WLAN
- Configure and Install Network Hardware and Software
- Monitor Network Performance
- Create and Implement Network Security Measures
- Configure and install software, servers, Domain, routers, Firewalls and other network devices
- Create, oversee and test security measures
- Communicate with users when needed
- Maintain complete technical documentation
- Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity and scalability
- Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure
- Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level support
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
Job Requirements
- At least 2-3 years work experience in IT service operations, software and hardware maintenance.
- Education: Bachelor degree preferably in the related functional area.
- Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and other core infrastructure design, deployment, maintenance and support expertise required
- Network protocols and network administration knowledge, network security – minimum 2 years
- Working knowledge of Linux/UNIX Preferred
- Knowledge of cloud computing (AWS, Azure) required
- Experience using automated monitoring tools (SCOM, SCCM, Nagios)
- Experience in writing PowerShell scripts
- Strong virtualization experience using (Hyper-V, VMWare)
- Proven experience in creating Server Cluster Architectures (Failover Clusters, High Availability systems)
- Experience with workstation management systems and desktop imaging
- Experience with Web Server technologies, especially IIS
