Financial/Logistics Analyst Job August2013

The job functions are split 50/50 between general accounting and IT website maintenance and operational administration tasks. The general accounting tasks include the performance of the monthly accounting close, forecasting and budgeting. In addition, must understand the operational workings of the company to provide insights into any financial fluctuations. The other function involves handling website maintenance; sales ordering system updates; handle setting up classroom logistics and customer service to assist users with system access issues. This position will have dotted line responsibility to the VP of Healthcare for ad hoc reporting.

Work with DeVry accounting to perform the monthly financial close.
Perform and write up monthly analysis on variances with prior year, forecast and budget.
Perform the periodic forecasting of the companies financials as required.
Manage the yearly budget process for the submission of Becker Healthcare’s financials.
Management of Accounts Receivable (including invoicing institutional sales), Accounts Payable and Refunds.
Handles website maintenance for class schedules, changes, updates, and related content.
Oversees and executes the sales ordering system (e-commerce system), to include class schedule set up, roster downloads, monitor student capacity of locations and running reports on sales activities.
Handles classroom logistics activities including organizing the hotel rooms at the retreat locations, scheduling classrooms for all locations, and ensuring the appropriate classroom tools are available.
Oversees the customer relationship management system to include tracking activities, email messaging setup, customer resolutions, and serves as a point of contact for online support.
Oversees online platform for pre-recorded lectures to include working with outsourced IT personnel to ensure operational integrity and assisting users with access issues; role instrumental in transitioning to new online platforms, as appropriate.
Customer service liaison, acting as a key point of contact for questions from customer service.
Send welcome letters to students after they enroll.
Provide additional reporting as requested to support the company’s business.
Identify and implement additional integration opportunities within DeVry.

Bachelor’s degree required.
Two years of accounting/financial analyst experience required.
Experience with website and IT systems maintenance
Ability to handle multiple divergent task simultaneously
Strong communication skills required.
Strong analytical and skills with the ability to foresee and resolve issues.
Must be a team player, willing to share and exchange information.
Strong Microsoft Office experience required with special emphasis on Excel.
Ability to handle confidential issues.
