Job description:
Senior Network engineer: is experienced senior member in SAPTelecom`s engineering team that carry out the following roles and responsibilities:
• Manage and expand the technical knowledge base and the engineering experience and skills for the team members
• Maintain deep and solid understanding and proficiency in SAPTelecom`s product and solution portfolio
• Willingness to travel to implement projects in our branches Oman and Dubai
• Present a professional interface to the customer to SAPTelcom`s products, solutions and technology vendors.
• Perform design and presales activities and help customers to obtain the right solution to meet their business requirements and resolve their pain points
• Prepare bill of materials and technical offers
• Implement, deliver and document functional and optimized network and security solutions to the customers
• Provide the technical support to the customer, diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve the technical and operational incidents/issues that might be encountered
Qualifications:
– Solid knowledge and experience in IP networks including and not limited to the following topics and skills:
o Enterprise switching (structure, hierarchy, design, device configuration, troubleshooting)
o TCP/IP protocols
o Topics of CCNA, CCNP switching are considered mandatory (or the same topics from equivalent vendor like Aruba “ACSA, ACSP” and Juniper “JNCA, JNCP”
o 7 years of experience in the IP network major, preferably 3 years working in a solution integrator
o Excellent command of written English, reporting, documentation and research skills
o Very good spoken English
o Very good presentation skills
– Comprehensive understanding and awareness and moderate experience in some of the following topics and skills:
o Network and application performance management techniques and tools
o Network and information security solutions:
§ Next generation Firewalls (NGFW)
§ Intrusion Pretension Systems (IPS)
§ Endpoint protection
§ Advanced Thread Protection (ATP)
§ Sandboxing
§ Mail security
o Controller based Wireless LAN
o Structured network cabling and passive network components
– Base knowledge and familiarity with the following topics and skills:
o Microsoft infrastructure and applications (Domain, Exchange, O365, etc)
o Cloud and virtualized based solutions (IaaS and SaaS providers, Vmware ESXi, deploying network virtual appliances, etc)
o IP telephony and collaboration solutions
