Conduct microbiological examinations for finished products, water and raw materials in accordance with ISO 17025 to enumeration and detection of spoilage and pathogenic microorganisms.
Basically, microbiological work consists of, preparation of culture media, sterilization and sample preparation, testing (Qualitative, quantitative and confirmation), reporting and decontamination.
Follow up and conduct microbiological examinations according to environmental monitoring plans based on food safety systems
Ensure all daily testing requests are closed and reported accurately.
Prepare technical sheet, test report and maintain observations data sheets.
Preserve and store samples as per the approved methods.
Ensure the good housekeeping and environmental monitoring of the lab during operation.
Quality control of performance for culture media, reagents, kits, sera and microbial reference strains.
Follow up all equipment cleaning, verification and record in related forms.
Takes care of calibrations and routine maintenance, verification& performance of lab’s instruments.
Follow up hygiene, cleaning and disinfection programs for the manufacture areas.
Follow up and conduct lab quality assurance program.
- BSc of Science (Microbiology).
- Fresh graduate or up to 2 years’ experience in microbiological analysis.
- Fluent in English and MS office.
- Basic concepts of quality and microbiology.
