Responsibilities (Junior Java Developer)
• Working on new software projects and extending/enhancing existing products
• Participating in various tasks and stages including requirements gathering and analysis, development, testing, and documentation
Skills and Qualifications
• Having BSc or higher degree in computer science
• Having strong self-learning, research, and analytical skills
• Able to identify and analyze problems, and to choose and apply effective solutions
• Working under stress on projects with tight schedule
• Working on multiple tasks simultaneously with ability to prioritize them adequately
• Proactive to take new responsibilities
• Able to learn and apply new technologies within the scope of projects and tasks
• Having good verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work effectively in a team
• Having fair background in Unix usage (e.g. using the shell)
• Rigid understanding and experience of database concepts and SQL
• Experience in network protocols such as TCP/IP and HTTP
• Familiar with common software testing techniques
• Understanding of common data structures and algorithms, and of object-oriented concepts
• Familiar with development environments and tools including Java IDEs, source code control systems, and automated build systems
• Good knowledge of the Java programming language including web frameworks such as Servlets and JSP
• Good knowledge of XML
• Javascript, AJAX, HTML, and CSS are a plus
• C/C++ languages are a plus
