Responsibilities:
• Define requirements of remote desktop virtualization components for a high-performance and high-availability cloud infrastructure platform
• Design the overall VDI architecture, integration and implementation strategy
• Design and build virtual desktop infrastructure environment on a cloud infrastructure platform
• Provide architectural guidance, recommended solutions and perform design reviews for all VDI projects, both new and enhancements
• Collaborate with, provide mentorship to, as well as assisting and supporting the engineering development, test, and service teams throughout a product lifecycle
• Analyze and evaluate applicable emerging technologies for adoption
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, higher degrees preferred
• 10+ years of software development experience using multiple computer languages
• Strong knowledge and engineering experience in desktop virtualization technologies, remote desktop service, PC over IP, VNC remote framebuffer, Microsoft remote desktop protocol, Citrix ICA and XenDesktop
• Experience in building or strong knowledge in cloud-enabling technologies such as OpenStack
• Experience in large-scale internet infrastructure (cloud computing) engineering preferred
• Strong foundational knowledge and experience with distributed systems and computing systems in general.
• Ability to communicate in Chinese verbally is required, ability to read Chinese is preferable.
Hands-on engineering skills
• Broad understanding in a range of virtualization technologies such as KVM, XEN, VMWare, ESX, Hyper-V, etc.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to lead initiatives and people toward common goals.
• Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and analytical skills
