Information System Vacancies: TEACHER, ASSISTANT and SCIENTIFIC & TECHNOLOGICAL ACTIVITIES COORDINATOR
(java,oracle,VHDL,system admin.,network admin,web designer,english translator,english teacher….)

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Teaching a scientific/technological subject (about one third of the working time)
• To plan the list of extracurricular activities that will be offered to the students, together with the Academic Director of the Foundation year, defining what are the resources, in terms of personnel and material, needed to carry out each activity
• To personally lead any of the activities
• To organize all the activities and coordinate them with all people involved
• Give labs and assignments to students and maintain feedback Cycle with them.
• Contribute with board to enhance and update Diploma Syllabus.
• Provide work experience to students and encourage them all the time.
• Contribute with organization for the process of “training of the trainers”.
• The Scientific & Technological Activities Coordinator will report to the Academic Director of the Foundation Year.

He will be a teacher of a scientific/technological subject in the College, and he will also have the responsibility of organizing and/or teaching (when required) all extra scientific and technological activities for the students.

These activities will take place out of the academic hours and will be voluntary. Scientific and technological activities such as robotics, software or math workshops … will be prioritized in the college: that is why the candidate needs to come from a technological/scientific education or experience.

Skills:
• Bachelor in any of the following areas: Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Electronics Engineer (Min. 1- 2 years of experience)
• Bilingual (English & Arabic)
• Experience handling activities such as robotic or software workshops, preparation of magazines, math labs, IT Labs….. will be an asset.

Technical Skills:
• Setup and test desktop computer and printers
• Install Operating System software (Windows 7, XP)
• Experience Apple MAC/iPad hardware and software required • Install and test application software (Office 2013)
• Basic networking concepts to ensure PCs and printers are communicating on the LAN and to the internet
• Run security scans regularly to ensure no security breaches on end user devices (Kaspersky)
• Maintain projectors (cleaning filters and replacing lamps) and Interactive Whiteboards (SMARTBOARDS)
• Maintain inventory all classroom technology items, printer toners and consumables
• Hardware and Software Troubleshooting.
• Maintaining user login accounts (Active Directory)
• Operating system upgrades and installations.
• Manage printers and scanner and troubleshoot end user issues.
• Managing the IT HELP DESK portal as a way for users to inform the IT Department of any issues.
• Experience with Audio/Visual Equipment.

Tools and Skill sets: *two skills or more*
– Web development using PHP and MYSQL -Java Programming -C# Programming – MATLAB – Linux – Dot Net, C#. Net, XML, HTML, SQL, TSQL – MS SQL, MS Access, SQL Azure – SQL Server Reporting Services , Crystal Reports for .Net – SharePoint Administration ,Info Path and SharePoint workflows, SharePoint Designer
