Groundswell Public Strategies (GPS) seeks a creative and hard-working full-time Art Director to join our team. This position is responsible for the execution of the creative strategy and design for our clients’ projects.

Location: Des Moines, IA (preferred), Kansas City, MO, or Jefferson City, MO

Responsibilities:

Work collaboratively with team to meet client goals and objectives.
Provide high quality, creative solutions in a fast pace environment.
Manage multiple projects while working within budget and scheduling requirements.
Understand website, social, banner, mobile, landing page and email technologies
Design and execute online/interactive ads, print ads, brochures, booklets, fliers, TV spots, billboards, and other projects as assigned
Collaborate and communicate with team members, working closely with the Creative Director in particular.
Work with team members in selection of design materials and any outsourcing needed to fulfill production of each project, staying within budget.
Meet assigned deadlines. Alert manager if deadlines cannot be met for any reason, or if an extension is required.
Draft copy content as requested.
Assists with marketing/business presentations as requested.
Keeps inventory of, and maintains design-related computer hardware/software; alerts manager when upgrades are needed.
Keep current with client demands for creative solutions and stay abreast of industry trends.
