As an IRSHAD Team, you would aim to support our clients to help them take control of their situation in areas such as relationships, careers, fitness, work-life balance and self-confidence.
If you’ve got good personal skills and you’d like to use them to help people reach their goals in life, this job could be perfect for you.
In this job you would need excellent listening and questioning skills. You would also need to have an open mind and not judge people.
So anyone can work as a life coach if they feel they have the right skills and qualities. However, clients tend to favor coaches who have qualifications and membership of professional organizations.

Work activities
IRSHAD Team support and encourage people to help them fulfil their potential and make the most of their lives.
You would work with clients to:
• talk about their situation
• discuss their values, attitudes and beliefs
• help them to set suitable goals for change
• break down these goals into small steps
• look at ways of overcoming barriers and setbacks
• Support them to stay motivated and committed.
Your clients could range from individuals to an entire business. You could offer either a general service or a specialism such as executive, career change, or youth coaching. You may sometimes need to turn down a client and recommend another professional such as a qualified counsellor or a financial adviser.
It is important to be ethical and acknowledge when someone else might be more qualified to help your client.
