Main Purpose:

Ensures total compliance throughout the site (manufacturing and supply chain) to GMP’s, food safety, and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Plans and manages the CAPEX (capital expenditure), ensuring his/her departments expenditure is within the set budget.
• Participates with Quality Development Manager in the development of GMP standards.
• Manages the analysis of the Incoming quality operations (suppliers, raw and packaging specifications) to ensure it is complying with the agreed quality standards and reports deviations and CAPA (Corrective Action and Preventive Action), if necessary.
• Manages and monitors process and quality control in his/her site to ensure that the product and process quality (lab and IPC) are complying with set standards and reports deviations and CAPA as well, if necessary.
• Manages products quality in his/her site to ensure that the finish product is complying with set standards and reports deviations and CAPA as well, if necessary.
• Review periodic quality reports received from each QC leader, Conducts analysis on the findings and generates quality trends. Recommends corrective actions if necessary and ensures implementation and compliance.
• Ensures full Implementation and maintenance of all quality systems, mechanisms, and/or processes within the site (Production, Labs, Supply Chain, and Destructions) to assure all areas covered effectively and comply with GMPs, GLPs, Quality Standards, Food Safety CCP’s and Quality CCP’s and its readiness for the any audits.
• Participates in investigations of non-conformance (audits, deviations, supplier defects, etc…), reviews analysis reports, and takes the required CAPA and ensures their completions as well.
• Analyses quality trends of the entire manufacturing, and supply chain scope and recommends corrective actions or improvement programs for defect reductions, and coordinates these programs for implementation.
• Authorizes product recycling, disposal of scrap and all wastes derived from the production process.
• Analyses and develops reports regarding the cost of failures, highlighting the number of rejections, spoilages and major issues to management, and using information to put preventative actions in place.
