About the Job
  • Prepare the project contractual critical path project schedule including breakdown structure for submission and approval based on contract documents.
  • Prepare part project schedules complying with the contractual one.
  • Prepare detailed project schedules based on items 1 and 2 above.
  • Prepare project look-ahead schedules as directed by PM.
  • Prepare regular updates to items 1-4 above using all information received from PM, PCM, subcontractors, suppliers, and where activities can be started earlier that scheduled.
  • Prepare and regularly update, and track schedule of resources (plant and manpower to meet activities milestones. E.I. (Histograms).
  • Prepare, regularly update, and track material schedules (submission, approval, order, delivery) in accordance with contract schedule ensuring timely availability of materials to minimize storage requirements whilst preventing negative schedule impact, and produces related reports to the PM.
  • Inputs information on progress from/by site personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Perform weekly backups of all modified schedule data files.
  • Monitor the progress of the works against the contractual schedule, advise PM on schedule slippage and prepare recovery plans.
  • Liaise with the relevant site authorities and department to expedite document processes. (Submission, approval, order etc.) To commence a work activity and avoid slippage.
  • Assist PM on producing internal and external reports as directed. E.I. (project budget statements, cash flow etc.)
  • Attends site meetings when directed.
  • Retain electronic copies of all schedules for archive purposes.
  • Distribute required documents after PM approval through the site document controller and recording.
  • Assist PM in preparation of monthly, progress reports and interim payment certificates when site quantity surveyor is not available.
Job Requirements

B.Sc. in Civil Engineering or Construction Technology having a minimum construction experience of 6 years.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
