Hindawi Publishing Corporation is now hiring “Editorial Screening Specialist” to be responsible for conducting the initial screening for all manuscripts that are submitted to Hindawi in order to ensure that the manuscripts are of a proper quality.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Generate the manuscripts files to suggest the most suitable editors and reviewers for the manuscripts, and to facilitate the reviewers work process
2. Evaluate the length of a manuscript to make sure that it meets Hindawi’s standards
3. Perform rigorous searches to make sure that the manuscript neither has been published nor is under review elsewhere
4. Search authors’ history to make sure that there are no sanctions or policies preventing them from submitting their manuscripts to the journal and to make sure that those authors were not involved in any unethical misconduct

5. Ensure that the subject matter of a manuscript falls within the scope of the journal’s coverage to fulfill the publication’s standards
6. Review the manuscripts’ references to detect any potential citation manipulation
7. Take the proper action on screened manuscripts by approving, rejecting, or transferring them to a more appropriate journal
Qualifications:
– Bachelor degree in any field
– 0-1 year of experience
– Upper Intermediate English level
– Intermediate level of Computer knowledge
– Good business writing skills
