Job description
Main Purpose:
Assist in managing Government Affairs (GA) stakeholders and implementing the function’s strategy that is related to governmental and non-governmental entities
Accountabilities:
Understand business priorities and co-develop appropriate government engagement strategy and plan
Manage execution of the engagement plan
Assist in stakeholder management – Initiating contact, regular communication, organizing meetings, drafting letters to stakeholders
Effectively drive relations with certain government stakeholders, such as Ministry of Investment, General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI), Ministry of Trade and Industry
Effectively drive relations with non-governmental stakeholders, such as American Chamber and other business associations or consultants
Research and analysis of key regulations and government procedures
Research and analysis of macro environment
Work on regular key economic live research to be shared with the region on key regulatory updates
Lead combined projects between GA function and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) or Marketing
Lead organizing events sponsored by PepsiCo with all governmental entities and commercial chambers…etc.
Ensure compliance with group policies, positions and standards
Skills:
Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university
Experience in GA
Excellent oral and written communications both in English and Arabic
Outgoing personality with strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
Good understanding of the political, social, and economic context of the market
Computer literacy: proficiency in Office packages is a must
Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels
Good researching skills
Preferable to have past experience working in a governmental entity
