Taghyeer organisation is looking for Research Assistant:
Major tasks and responsibilities:
• Engage in the field work using either computer-assisted or paper questionnaires based on the study requirements.
• Contact study target sample to be interviewed at home, place of business, or field location, by telephone, mail, or in person.
• Collect data from target audience according to project plan.
• Review data obtained from the interviews for completeness and accuracy.
• Compile, record, and code collected data from interview or survey into specialized software using consistent formatting.
• Check the quality of data entered and report any problems encountered.
• Detect missing or redundant data and report any problems.
• Using reporting tools, be responsible for the data extraction, analysis and production of a range of reports upon need.
• Meet with the research coordinator upon need to submit completed assignments and discuss progress
• Perform daily back-up of data entered on a disk or CD-ROM.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, social sciences, or a related technical field.
• 1 – 2 years of experience in development or humanitarian programs.
• Familiarity with data collection and data entry is desirable.
• Good level in written and spoken English is desirable.
Skills required:
• Knowledge of IT software packages: excel required and SPSS desired.
• Attention to details.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proven ability to learn quickly, take initiative, and be accountable for results.
• Ability to work with diverse group of people especially children.
• Work under pressure and ability to meet deadlines.
