A well known carpentry workshop in the state of Qatar is looking of a deputy director.
The applicant will be leading and overseeing a team of skilled craftsmen, using traditional machinery, manufacturing a wide range of joinery products, including doors, windows, stairs, kitchens, etc., all made to the clients specific requirements.
The applicant responsibilities include:
1) Overseeing the production process from order through to completion on site.
2) Production planning, site-fitting scheduling, and delegation of daily duties.
3) Managing, motivating and engaging the workshop team to ensure timescales are met.
4) Liaising between customers, builder’s and architects.
5) Overall responsibility for workshop Health & Safety.
6) General Workshop and Staff Administration.
The preferred applicant should be an experienced Workshop Manager, ideally with previous experienced working within a professional wood production / bespoke joinery manufacturing environment, having proven leadership skills, and a real commitment to lean manufacturing philosophies and practices.
The applicant should be a resilient, positive and motivational leader from a workshop / production and manufacturing background, with a good level of computer literacy, effective written and oral communication skills, a positive attitude, and excellent organizational ability.
